Next Member Meeting is tentatively March 7, 2017.

AFGE Local 1003 represents the bargaining unit at EPA Region 6. Local Union officers are volunteers who are allowed reasonable official time to work on representational issues. Officers are elected every two years.

Meetings are normally on the second Tuesday of each month in the 12th floor conference area at the Dallas regional office. Lunch is served at 11:30 a.m. and the meeting is conducted from 11:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Dues are among the lowest of any EPA local  — $13.15 per pay period.

Almost 50 percent of Region 6 Bargaining Unit employees are active, dues-paying members. The bargaining unit consists of more than 600 specialists, analysts, attorneys, assistants, administrative, secretarial and clerical support staff.  AFGE serves as the bargaining unit’s exclusive representative. If you have questions concerning your bargaining unit status, contact us at (214) 665-7566.

Bargaining Unit employees are covered by the Master Collective Bargaining Agreement and other locally negotiated agreements (see below).
